The Breathe project has now finished.
B1's vision for Breathe, based at 3 Temple Row West, was to 'Breathe in the love of God in order to Breathe out the life of God.' Based in the city centre, Breathe included two spaces for those caught up in (or those wanting to escape from) the busyness of urban life.
'Living Space', looking out over the Cathedral square, was a comfortable, attractive and well-equipped space which people could book for meetings or events. A wide range of businesses and charities took advantage of this informal meeting room, and B1 also hosted events such as wine-tasting and (juice) cocktail mixing. Not that we're all about the drink!
'Sanctuary', in the back room of Breathe, provideded a space for city centre workers and residents to engage with Christian spirituality. The Breathe space used a wide range of multi-media resources and ancient Christian practices to help people reflect on life and God.
Breathe hosted a drop-in lunchtime on Wednesdays (12-2pm), but B1ers (and others) were welcome to use the Sanctuary space at any time, or indeed book the Living Space for their own events.
