We’re commited to supporting children and young people on their journey in the Christian faith.
There are currently three groups for children and young people during the Sunday services: B1 Detectors (aged 10-15), Jammy Dodgers (aged 4-8) . We also offer a creche for children under the age of three. Each group uses a creative mixture of drama, art, games, video, music, discussion and above all fun to explore the Christian faith within the contemporary society experienced by children. The work is run by a team of volunteers from within the congregation who bring their own skills, talents and enthusiasm. Once a term, the children usually lead a service for the congregation as a whole.

We seek to provide additional opportunities for the children and young people to further develop friendships and a sense of belonging to a faith community. This includes mid week groups, organised trips and events to which they can invite their non-church friends. For the older children there’s a monthly book and film discussion group (FAB) and a spirituality exploration course called Explore.
We also run an annual 6 week course for children over the age of seven who wish to take Communion. |
